The Southwest District of Kiwanis International was established in 1918 when the El Paso, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, and Albuquerque, New Mexico Clubs were formed. Ninety two years later, the district remains active with 18 divisions and 118 clubs in Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso, County, Texas.
The Kiwanians in the Southwest District are dedicated to making the world a better place for the children. By working together we truly can make a difference in the lives of children.
If you would like to take a closer look at our organization or visit a local Kiwanis club to help on a service project, simply go to the "About Us" section in the menu on the left side of the page. Click on "Contact Us" and we will send you information about clubs in your area.

SWD Gov Message:
In the Southwest District we truly embrace the concept of "Making Time to Make a Difference." Our Kiwanis clubs are dedicated to meeting the needs of our children who live in our individual communities. As an International Organization we apply that same philosophy when we reach out to serve the children around the world.
The Kiwanis Family is made up of more than our Adult Kiwanis clubs. With the focus on children, we have established Service Leadership Programs throughout our Grade Schools, Middle Schools, High Schools and our Universities around the District, which includes Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso County in Texas. In addition, this past year our Aktion Clubs (Adults living with disabilities) in the Southwest District were ranked third throughout the world for percentage of growth.
When you join Kiwanis you join more than a club. You become a member of our family. With the world around us dealing with an economic downturn, we as Kiwanian in a very strategic position. Our mission is founded on serving children, and with the resources we have available to us we can meet the challenges our communities currently face. The children need us now, more than at any other time in History.
