The Vision of the Southwest District Kiwanis Foundation is:

“To build ethical, productive leadership in young people and to help provide quality professional development and support in a fast changing world.”

The Foundation works diligently to achieve this goal, through a variety of programs A significant activity of the Foundation is the support and enhancement of Kamp Kiwanis, located about 20 miles south of Gallup, NM, in the Zuni Mountains. This 160 acre facility is dedicated to the service of KIDS. Over the course of a year, thousands of young people, from throughout the Southwest District, participate in camps and other youth enrichment programs. The Foundation’s involvement in Kamp Kiwanis is only a part of its overall mission to support youth in the Southwest District. The Foundation provides a variety of academic and vocation/tech scholarships for young people in the District. Applications for the 2016-2017 year may be downloaded below. Applications must be completed and postmarked by March 4, 2017. The foundation also funds a Kiwanis Across the Borders program, designed to help District Clubs and children throughout the world. The Student Recognition Program is also part of the Foundation’s involvement with youth.
